These terms govern your use of Greenshelf. By creating an account you agree to them.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Greenshelf. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account.

Food safety disclaimer

Greenshelf is an organizational tool. Expiration dates, reminders and suggested shelf lives are estimates based on what you enter and are not food-safety guarantees. Always check food before eating it and follow the manufacturer’s guidance.

Recipe suggestions are generated by AI and may contain errors. Check every ingredient for allergens and dietary restrictions and use your own judgment about cooking times and food safety. Greenshelf does not provide medical or nutritional advice.

Product information

Barcode lookups use Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a community-maintained database available under the Open Database License, and USDA FoodData Central. Product information may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Subscriptions

Greenshelf Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. It renews at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

The free plan includes single-user inventory, reminders, shopping lists and a limited number of AI recipe requests per day. We may change plan features with notice.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no attempting to access other people’s data, disrupting the service, reverse engineering it, or using it for anything unlawful.

Your content

You own the content you add. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you and the members of your household.

Termination

You can stop using Greenshelf and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including any illness or loss arising from food you consume, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will notify you in the app of material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
